* C3 is part of our strategy to improve access to collections through merchandizing. * C3 classifies nonfiction in customer-friendly categories like Home & Garden * C3 is part of a merchandizing package that includes banner signage and colour-coded labels * C3 uses a four-digit numbering system to provide specific shelf addresses for items * C3's shorter and simpler call numbers speed up material flow (sorting, shelving and retrieving items) and make library operations more efficient
